Truly the most wonderful time of the year.

Halloween is starting to arrive, and its so wonderful. I love the fall, I always have. The smell in the air, the beauty of the trees losing their foliage, and All Hallows Eve. The chill in the air, which takes away the oppressiveness of the heat of summer.

There is also something wonderful about the items in the shops, the fun of dressing up, and the traveling around to see neighbors, you typically disregard, as they hand out candy. It just seems that this holiday is the only time community truly comes together to have good fun.

Sure, there is always bad elements, but there always will be. Just have to be careful, but still enjoy the time. Children dressing up, and pretending, parents living through their children’s joy, and the fun simply watching children get candy.

I fully believe, with all my heart, that Halloween should be Christmas. I think we should make a spooky looking Halloween Tree and lay gifts for the family underneath it. I guess that’s just wishful thinking, as that would just be complete overload. Halloween truly is the greatest time of the year, combining it with what people WANT to be the happiest time of the year would make everyone happy, and then society would implode, because there has to be someone who is a grump and wants to keep anyone from having fun.

This year will truly be a special Autumn. I’ve been here with my fiancĂ© over a year, and I’m settled in nicely. The hammock is all set up and I’m ready to watch the world turn to fall while reading my Kindle in the back yard. A special year indeed, and I cannot wait to see what all treasures this season has in store.
